Tobacco register Turre to be updated

Tobacco register Turre will be updated in early summer 2024. The update will only have a minor impact on the register’s users. The register’s URL and electronic application form will change. The Finnish National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) will notify municipal supervisory units, applicants for retail permits for tobacco products and submitters of wholesale notifications of the new URL during the spring. Representatives of municipal supervisory units will be provided with training closer to the release of the new register.

The tobacco register Turre is a national system to which economic operators submit applications for the retail of tobacco products and nicotine-containing liquids, as well as notifications of wholesale. In the Turre register, inspectors of municipal supervisory units process tobacco retail permits and wholesale notifications.

After the deployment of the new register, system development will be continued to improve the functions of the new register even further.
