Accessibility statement of Valvira.fi
Our service is subject to the Act on the provision of digital services (306/2019) (in Finnish), which requires that public online services must be accessible. The National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) strives to guarantee the accessibility of Valvira.fi in accordance with this act.

Reflow
Some elements do not scale neatly or content requires two-way scrolling on a screen 320 CSS pixels wide. (WCAG 1.4.10)
Links
Links are not always marked in a programmatically consistent way on the site. (WCA 3.2.4)
Text alternatives
Part of the visible text is missing from the logo link's alternative text. (WCAG 2.5.3).
Some illustrations have alternative texts unnecessarily. Some images that convey content are missing an alternative text or do not have their content explained in the body text. (WCAG 1.1.1).
Headings
Some headings are not programmatically marked as headings and sometimes headings are used in elements that are not headings. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Sometimes subordinate headings are marked at the same heading level and sometimes heading levels are skipped. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Grouping of elements
Some visual groups of elements, such as search results on the search result page, are not grouped programmatically. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Purpose of elements
Some elements are not implemented in a way that matches their visual implementation. As a result, screen reader users are misinformed about the meaning of the elements. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Forms
The accessibility feedback form does not provide correction suggestions if the user fills in the information incorrectly. The language of the form cannot be determined programmatically. (WCAG 3.1.2, 3.3.3)
Files
Files have accessibility issues, such as not all content being accessible with a screen reader or keyboard. (WCAG 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 2.4.3)
