New tobacco register deployed
The new tobacco register has been deployed successfully. Its new URL is tupakkarekisteri.fi. The update was completed on schedule. The previous register and its e-service are no longer available.
Instructions for using the new e-service are available on our website (in Finnish). The functions that are required for the operation and use of the register were added to the new register. The development of the register will continue to improve its functions even further.
The tobacco register is a national system in which economic operators submit applications for the retail of tobacco products and nicotine-containing liquids, as well as notifications of wholesale. In the register, inspectors from municipal supervisory units process tobacco retail licences and wholesale notifications.
