On 1 January 2026, the duties of Valvira will be transferred to the new Finnish Supervisory Agency. At the same time, Valvira will cease to operate. Upkeep of the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers will also be transferred to the new Finnish Supervisory Agency.

The web address of JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki will change, and the visual appearance of the services will be changed to match the visual identity of the new Finnish Supervisory Agency. Other minor updates will be made to the texts in the services. All changes will be put into effect at New Year 2026. The old website address will redirect to the new address. In all other respects, JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki can be used just the same as before. The new address is julkiterhikki.lvv.fi.

The change will cause outages around the New Year. The exact dates of the outages will be announced later.

The services allow you to check professional rights in social welfare and health care

The professional qualifications of social welfare and health care professionals can be verified in the public information service maintained by Valvira for the registers of social welfare and health care professionals (JulkiSuosikki and JulkiTerhikki, respectively). Employers in the social welfare and health care sectors also use the services to verify rights to practise. Graduates qualifying for an occupation in social welfare or health care can check in JulkiTerhikki or JulkiSuosikki to see if they have been awarded the right to practise they applied for.
